PLANNED GIVING
Giving a planned gift is a wonderful way to make a long-term charitable impact. A legacy gift could include trusts, retirement funds, charitable gift annuities, and other estate planning methods. As a tax-exempt organization, SOHFA can benefit from a variety of trust arrangements that carry substantial benefits for the donor. Planned gifts can be utilized to create a fund in the SOHFA Endowment or be directed to address immediate needs of the Stoughton Opera House.
STOCK, MUTUAL FUNDS, or BONDS
Gift of stocks, mutual funds, or bonds are a popular way to show support. Many donors find this a more advantageous way to make a generous gift!
PAID INSURANCE POLICIES
A paid insurance policy is another excellent way to support the Stoughton Opera House Friends Association.
PROPERTY or TANGIBLE GOODS
Please be aware that tax law requires an appraisal of any tangible goods valued at $5,000 or more (prior to a donation) and that immediate sale of the gift may effect the limits of its tax deductibility. In the case of a gift of real estate, an environmental appraisal may be required.
